Another day, another promise from Ofgem. The energy regulator has announced an investigation into a price promotion by Scottish Power last year along with a wider probe into the industry.
Ofgems chief executive Alistair Buchanan said: Our new investigation into potentially misleading marketing by Scottish Power is a further strong signal to the industry that we wish to see a sea change in the way customers are treated.
Companies that fail to play it straight with consumers need to understand that they risk facing enforcement action.
Good news, you might think. But when can we expect action? Well, not until next year… if we’re lucky.
