In support of Ryanair: or how we created a low-cost monster

There’s a lot of anti-Ryanair feeling being spread across the airwaves today so for what it’s worth, about 1p plus taxes and hidden charges and other fees probably, I thought I ought to stick up for the company that has brought us a regular, reliable airborne bus service to parts of Europe previously only accessible to rich people who could afford the ’traditional’ fares charged by traditional airlines.

So Ryanair treats its customers like *****. Get over it. So do most businesses. No? Read my ’50 reasons’ piece on poor customer service.

As a nation we’re cheap. And we can’t have it both ways.
